What's Going On With Trump Media & Technology Group Stock On Friday?

Benzinga ·  Oct 26 02:36

Trump Media & Technology Group (NASDAQ:DJT) stock maintained its rally Friday as the Street prices Donald Trump's chances of victory in the 2024 presidential election.

The stock surged close to 31% in the last five days, which involved the Truth+ app launch for Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) iOS devices, Apple TVs, Android TVs, and Amazon.Com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) Amazon Fire TVs.

Truth Social's parent company consistently mirrors majority stakeholder Donald Trump's actions, from election poll results to his stance on election mandates, even as internal whistleblower complaints target CEO Devin Nunes for alleged practices contradicting Trump's "America First" principles.

Republican candidate Trump, 78, will appear on Joe Rogan's podcast Friday, aiming to reach Rogan's extensive audience of young men just days before the U.S. presidential election on November 5.

Democratic presidential candidate and current Vice President Kamala Harris was also invited but declined to join, India Today reports.

Trump's appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience is highly anticipated, as Rogan, whose podcast is the most popular in the U.S., previously stated he would not host Trump. Rogan's reach is vast, with over 14 million Spotify followers and 17 million on YouTube.

U.S. voters head to the polls on November 5 to elect the next president in a tight race between Harris and Trump.

Originally a rematch between Trump and Joe Biden, this election shifted dramatically in July when Biden exited the race, endorsing Harris. Polls now show Harris maintaining a narrow lead over Trump in national averages since joining the race, though swing state polls indicate a tight contest.

Since Harris launched her campaign, she has generally led Trump in national polling, bolstered by a nearly four-point lead in late August, BBC reports.

Her numbers have stayed relatively stable, even after the single debate on September 10, which drew almost 70 million viewers. However, recent polls show the gap tightening, with Trump gaining ground in certain swing states.

Harris initially led by small margins in crucial swing states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, though Trump recently pulled ahead slightly in Pennsylvania. Trump also holds slight leads in states like Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina, where the race has seen frequent shifts.

Trump Media stock jumped over 175% in the past thirty days, fueled by Trump keeping his majority stake even after the lockup period expired.

Price Action: DJT stock is up 11.70% to $39.05 at the last check on Friday.
