D.A. Davidson analyst Jeff Rulis maintains $Columbia Banking System (COLB.US)$ with a hold rating.
According to TipRanks data, the analyst has a success rate of 69.8% and a total average return of 16.6% over the past year.
Furthermore, according to the comprehensive report, the opinions of $Columbia Banking System (COLB.US)$'s main analysts recently are as follows:
The bank's third-quarter report has revealed early positive indicators pertaining to its market expansion and the addition of new personnel.
Columbia Banking delivered a quarter that surpassed expectations and generally maintained its previous guidance. Despite deposit growth falling short of forecasts, a seasonal uptick in noninterest bearing deposits combined with robust growth in customer interest bearing deposits enabled the reduction of brokered deposits by one-fifth and also facilitated the retirement of some wholesale borrowings.
Following the quarterly results, it's observed that deposit repricing is contributing to an increase in net interest income. However, looking forward, the situation appears to become more challenging when the peak funding beta is reached. This is due to the expected decline in accretion income and the projection of subdued balance sheet growth.
