Ocean Park announced the latest development plan of the 'Adventure Theme Area' yesterday (24th), which will cooperate with the shun tak hold (00242.HK) and AJ Hackett International consortium that won the bid, with the consortium investing 0.352 billion yuan in construction and operation.
According to the introduction, the 'Adventure Theme Area' is located in part of the Ocean Park's mountain peak paradise, covering an area of about 0.12 million square meters. The amusement facilities will include two giant zip lines of about 1,000 meters each, a 30-meter-high 'Bungy Jump,' 'Free Fall Slide,' and 'Sky Swing,' expected to open at the earliest in 2028. In addition, visitors will need to purchase additional tickets to experience the 'Adventure Theme Area'.
Chairman of Ocean Park, Pang Kin Yi, hopes that the new project can attract adventure enthusiasts and family guests, expand the customer base of Ocean Park, and enhance market competitiveness. At the same time, it will help revitalize the tourism industry in Hong Kong and position Hong Kong as the preferred destination for travelers from all over the world.
