On October 23, 2024, neuedu (09616.HK) announced that Dalian University (a consolidated affiliate of the company) and Huayu Construction entered into a general contract for the construction of the neuedu Health Medical Technology Park Apartment Project. Upon this, Huayu Construction will accept the commission from Dalian University to be responsible for the construction work of the project, with a provisional price of 0.27 billion RMB (adjustable). Project: neuedu Health Medical Technology Park Apartment Project (located on the north section of Shuma Road, Dalian City, Liaoning Province), covering an area of approximately 25,176.96 square meters, with a building area of 112,494.98 square meters.
Due to the increasing number of students at Dalian University, the existing campus capacity may not be able to meet the students' needs in the future. In October 2024, the group acquired two plots adjacent to the main campus of Dalian University. It plans to carry out the campus expansion project at these plots, focusing on the deep integration of education, technology, and health medical, to construct the neuedu Health Medical Technology Park. This includes facilities such as student practice and training bases, apartments, focusing on key professional development in "IT + digital media + health. It aims to further create professional talent practice and training platforms, technology results transformation platforms, and innovation and entrepreneurship incubation platforms, fully realizing the interoperability and resource sharing among Dalian University and its affiliated institutions, driving the integrated fusion of education, medical care, and elderly care. This project will constitute the apartment part of the aforementioned campus expansion project.
In addition, Huayu Construction is a first-level enterprise in general contracting of construction engineering, with rich experience in the construction field. Its construction projects cover 11 provincial-level regions nationwide, with an annual construction capacity of 1 million square meters and an annual output value of 1 billion RMB. At the same time, Huayu Construction is a long-term strategic partner of the group. The teaching buildings and libraries constructed by Huayu Construction for Dalian University have won the Luban Award. Entrusting Huayu Construction with the construction work of this project is beneficial to ensuring that the project is completed as required by Dalian University and maintaining the excellent quality of Dalian University's construction projects.
