On the news front, data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that in September 2024, the national wind power generation reached 69.4 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 31.6% year-on-year. From January to September 2024, the national wind power generation reached 673.3 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 10.8%. Donghai Securities pointed out that the continued progress in the construction of the offshore wind projects in Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces recently indicates a weakening of restrictive factors, and the industry fundamentals may warm up, with domestic offshore wind construction expected to accelerate.
The bank pointed out that overseas offshore wind development is gaining momentum. With domestic offshore engineering products having successful overseas project delivery experience, export opportunities may continue to strengthen. Against the backdrop of resonating domestic and international offshore wind demand, the overall offshore wind sector is expected to see intensive catalysis. The bank believes that component manufacturers' performance still has a certain degree of elastic space in the second half of this year.
