Mainland China's CSI All Share Investment Banking cited news reports that the China Securities Industry Association recently launched a brokerage digital capability maturity assessment within the entire industry, in order to solidly promote the construction of brokerage digital capabilities, help brokerages understand their own digital capability development progress, identify problems and shortcomings in digital transformation, and further clarify the direction of digital capability construction. The evaluation period is from October 21 to November 21.

It is reported that based on the group standard "Securities Company Digital Capability Maturity Guideline" previously issued by the CSI All Share Investment Banking, a "Securities Company Digital Capability Maturity Assessment Plan" was compiled, which specifies the work requirements, processes, evaluation indicators, content, and methods for brokerages to conduct digital capability assessments. The "Plan" is not only applicable to guide brokerages in digital transformation and measure their own digital capability level construction, but also applicable to regulatory authorities and third-party institutions conducting brokerage digital capability assessment activities.

According to the requirements of the "Plan", conducting brokerage digital capability assessment work should establish an evaluation working group to coordinate the evaluation work. When brokerages organize self-assessment work, the evaluation working group is generally led by senior management such as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the company, who takes the lead in the assessment work; the composition and quantity of evaluation personnel in the evaluation working group can be determined according to the actual situation of each brokerage, and generally should be composed of personnel from the IT department and business department. The working group should, according to the requirements of the plan, combine the actual situation of the enterprise, clarify the division of labor and work processes in the evaluation work, and train the staff; refine the collection methods of evaluation data or materials for each capability item, draft investigation outlines, design survey questionnaires, etc.; investigate and collect relevant data and proof materials for each capability item; comprehensively analyze the data and proof materials, calculate the results of capability items, capability subdomains, capability domains and overall evaluation results of the enterprise.
