Kuraray Co., Ltd.
Kuraray Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Hitoshi Kawahara) will be exhibiting at the Sustainable Material Exhibition, the 4th Sustainability Material Exhibition (also known as SUSMA) to be held at Makuhari Messe from October 29. The exhibition will be held within the High-Functionality Material Week.
1. Exhibited Products
UV curing material | A new monomer for UV curing coatings/inks. It has very low viscosity, contributing to solvent reduction and solvent-free formulations. Furthermore, it excels in the balance between strength and flexibility, which is often a trade-off in existing products. |
〈EVARLE〉film Vacuum insulation boards with distinguished brands. | Special brands where aluminum is deposited on |
Modified polylactic acid. "ML Series" (under development). | Polylactic acid improved to be flexible and durable without compromising biodegradability. Particularly, the elongation at break significantly increased. Applicable to various molding methods such as extrusion molding, injection molding, nonwoven fabric, 3D printer filaments, etc. |
Surface fasteners. Recycled type. | 100% polyester fastener using recycled materials. No need for a back coat agent, material recycling is possible. Obtained RCS certification. |
Biodegradable thermoplastic elastomer. (Development product) | Water resistance and biodegradability suitable for industrial composting at the cellulose level, while having rubber elasticity equivalent to petrochemical-derived soft thermoplastic elastomers. Suitable for improving the functionality of biodegradable resins, heat sealants, and pressure-sensitive adhesives. |
Environmentally harmonious ether-based reactive solvent MTHP. | Excellent dissolving power, stability, and phase separation with water make it suitable for various organic synthesis solvents. Contributes to simplification of processes, energy reduction, solvent recovery and reuse, and reducing environmental impact of waste liquid. |
Special high heat resistant acrylic resin. 〈KURALPHA 〉AX grade | Acrylic resin with a heat resistance temperature equivalent to PC resin. Suitable for outdoor use and injection molding. Easy to maintain the shape of components due to high rigidity. |
Styrene-based elastomer sheet | Offers additional value such as 'vibration damping', 'excellent rubber elasticity', 'low susceptibility to hydrolysis', etc., and proposes various shapes such as films, nonwoven fabrics, mesh sheets, etc. |
High heat-resistant polyolefin (development product) | High-performance polyolefin with a high melting point of approximately 300°C. It has features such as lightweight, insulation, release properties, low water absorption, and is proposed as a wide range of melt-molded materials such as film-forming, injection molding, fibers, etc. |
PVOH film for autoclave molding of CFRP and FRP | Good release properties for thermosetting resins like epoxy resin, and it follows the shape of the molded product well during vacuum molding due to its gas barrier property and moderate flexibility. Suitable for release films and bagging films. |
