On October 18, Futu News reported that the Hong Kong stock market opened lower and rose throughout the day, with the technology index closing up 1.03%, the Hang Seng Index and the Greater China Index rising by 0.75% and 0.9% respectively. The central bank is expected to assess market liquidity conditions before the end of the year and may further reduce the deposit reserve ratio by 0.25-0.5 percentage points. Boosted by positive news, the technology index and the Greater China Index rose by more than 2% at one point during trading, while the Hang Seng Index rose above 20420 points at one stage.
