Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nishi-ku, Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa-ken; President: Makoto Uchida) has unveiled a newly designed machine compatible with the new GEN3 Evo regulations applied from the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship Season 11 (2024/25). The new design follows the cherry blossom motif that has been loved by fans since it debuted in season 9 (2022/23). The cherry blossom design is popular in Formula E as the Nissan team's identity, and expresses Japan's DNA and a new beginning.

The Nissan Formula E Team finished 4th in the team rankings and drivers' rankings and 3rd place in the newly established manufacturer's rankings in season 10, but we are aiming for even higher heights in season 11. The team decided to welcome in Norman Nato, an experienced Nissan driver for season 9. Oliver Rowland, who will be the next pitcher, has won 2 championships and 5 podiums in the previous season. Both drivers are familiar with how to get the most out of the machine and are excellent at developing the machine. The Nato will drive the No. 17 car that was driving in season 9, and Roland will drive Nissan's traditional No. 23 car.

The new Nissan Formula E Team factory is also in operation for the 2024/25 season. This dedicated team facility is located on a 2,600 square meter site and includes workshop areas, simulators, engineering and management offices, as well as exhibition areas, meeting rooms, and multi-purpose areas. Located south of Paris, this facility is close to other Nissan facilities and alliance partners, making it easy to access human resources, equipment, and facilities within Nissan and the Group, and creating synergy.

Roland and Nato will go through pre-season tests to be held in Valencia from November 4 to 7, and will compete in the Sao Paulo E-Prix on December 7, which will be the opening match of season 11.

Tomaso Volpe, General Manager of Nissan Formula E and Managing Director of Nissan Formula E Team
“While we're excited for the new season, we're working hard to become familiar with the GEN3 Evo machine. Everything has been going well so far and I'm really looking forward to the Valencia test. The new factory is also running smoothly. By making the most of this facility, you can unleash your team's full potential. Nato, who will be fighting together from now on, knew the Nissan team crew very well, so they quickly became familiar with the team. With strong drivers, Roland and Nato, I can confidently say we are ready to win and take the podium. Furthermore, Electromin became the main partner starting this season. In addition to the existing relationship between Coral and Coral Eyewear, we have amazing companies backing us. We're putting all our effort into everything and aiming for the top in season 11.”

Oliver Rowland: “After a busy season 10, I felt refreshed enough. We are preparing to challenge Season 11 in good physical and mental condition. The new facility is so amazing and I'm really impressed. The location is also ideal, and you will be able to aim higher. There are several challenges in GEN3 Evo, including all-wheel drive technology, but we will face it with a perfect system from the first race.”

Norman Nato: “I'm so happy to be back with the team. I've already gotten used to the cars, simulators, and staff. The new facility is equipped to the highest standard. You can prepare for the race and do post-race briefings in a fantastic environment. The new coloring is really cool, shows the Nissan team's Japanese identity, fans love it, and it's easy to recognize even on the circuit. We can't wait to test in Valencia, start the season in Brazil, and start the GEN3 Evo era.”
