Changjiang Securities research report pointed out that since the beginning of this year, the inflow at the cascade power stations of China Yangtze Power (600900.SH) has continued to improve. In the first three quarters of 2024, the total inflow at the Wudongde Reservoir was approximately 88.852 billion cubic meters, showing a rich increase of 12.56% compared to the same period last year. The total inflow at the Three Gorges Reservoir was around 313.11 billion cubic meters, showing a significant increase of 20.26% compared to the same period last year. Compared to the first half of the year, with increases of 11.40% and 19.67% respectively at the two reservoirs, the inflow in the third quarter further accelerated. In contrast to the declining electricity growth rates of other hydropower companies in the third quarter, the company's large hydropower sector has demonstrated great resilience. Additionally, considering the recovery of the operational performance of the company's equity-holding hydropower companies, it is expected that the company's net income attributable to shareholders in the third quarter will continue to grow rapidly. The 'buy' rating on the company is maintained.
