According to the official website's 'Know Your Customer' (KYC) verification mechanism, the whitelist is currently open to qualified investors in the usa and all non-usa users.
WLFI's "USA compliant investors" usually have an annual income of at least 0.2 million USD and liquid assets of at least 1 million USD. This means that currently only the wealthy can join the whitelist.
For non-USA users, only filling out identity information is required for verification.
Due to policy restrictions in the USA, the platform is currently not available to regular USA users. However, the WLFI team has stated that they are working on policy changes to ensure that all future USA users can participate in the platform and have equal financial opportunities.
"Although these whitelists are currently open to qualified investors in the USA and all non-USA citizens, we will not abandon ordinary Americans. Our mission is to give everyone financial freedom, regardless of their background or bank deposits," WLFI wrote.
According to The Block's report last week, the WLFI project aims to raise 0.3 billion USD through the initial sale. The report cited a roadmap shared with potential investors, stating that it will sell 20% of the token supply at a fully diluted valuation of 1.5 billion USD.
The token named WLFI will serve as the platform's governance token and allow users to vote on its future development. However, this token is not transferable and does not generate revenue, unlike most tradable or income-generating crypto assets.
According to a Medium article released by WLFI project last week, the project emphasizes commitment to radically change finance through a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that can be widely adopted.
