Recently, douyu announced the governance results of cracking down on vulgar and pornographic content in September, and took severe measures against relevant violations, permanently banning a total of 167 live broadcast rooms.

In the announcement, douyu clearly specified the key violations targeted by the platform, including but not limited to: logging into pornographic websites during live broadcasts, displaying pornographic images, audio and video content, playing links to pornographic platforms, suggesting sexual acts or teasing in live streams, deliberately exposing human sexual organs or private parts, and posting inappropriate dating or pornographic service trade information.

To ensure the effectiveness and timeliness of the governance actions, douyu has established a sound user reporting mechanism and inspection system. On one hand, douyu has a professional inspection team internally, monitoring live content 24/7 to ensure that violations can be promptly identified and dealt with. On the other hand, the platform encourages users to actively participate in supervision. Once violations are discovered in accounts and content, they can be quickly reported through official channels. Based on platform rules such as the User Registration Agreement, User Code of Conduct, and Interaction Norms, douyu adopts a zero-tolerance attitude towards violations in live broadcast rooms, imposing punishments ranging from short-term bans to long-term bans or permanent bans, to warn other anchors and users and jointly maintain a good live streaming environment.

Following the closure of a group of related violations in August, douyu's "Clear Action" further intensified, demonstrating the platform's determination and continuous efforts to combat violations. The internet is not a lawless place, and live content must comply with laws, regulations, and platform rules.

In the announcement, douyu stated that it will continue to increase efforts to combat various types of illegal and illicit content, regularly publicize governance results to the public; at the same time, it calls on users to strictly abide by laws, regulations, and platform rules, and conduct live broadcasts in a regulated manner. If users find violations in accounts and content, they can report them to the platform promptly.
