On October 11th, SUNOEN (600925.SH) recently stated at the 2024 interim performance briefing that the SUNOEN Xidian 2×1000MW power generation project is the company's IPO investment project. After completion, it will become the world's largest million-ton brown coal demonstration project, fully utilizing the mineral resources of the Ulaan Gaai coal field to form a circular economy framework and optimize resource allocation to the maximum extent. The SUNOEN Baiyinhua 2×660MW power generation project adopts the integrated operation mode of coal and electricity, constructing a large pithead thermal power plant. Once completed and put into operation, it will provide power guarantee for Jiangsu Province.

As of the end of June, the SUNOEN Xidian 2×1000MW project has completed more than 75% of the total project volume and is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2025. The SUNOEN Baiyinhua 2×660MW project has commenced construction, with the first concrete poured for the main plant building, and is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2026.
