AMD (AMD.US) CEO Lisa Su stated at a product launch on Thursday that there are currently no plans to replace its suppliers, but the company hopes to have more geographical diversity in production and is currently working to qualify Taiwan Semiconductor's new factory in Arizona, usa.
However, Lisa Su did not rule out the possibility of using Samsung Electronics or Intel in the future, stating that AMD remains open-minded.
She mentioned that the overall chip market is expected to reach $400 billion by 2027, with the demand for ai continuing to grow, and the industry is still in its early stages of adopting new technologies.
