Sarawak Shell Bhd has officially opened its new headquarters, One Shell Square Miri (OSSM), located in Miri Times Square, Sarawak. The grand opening was officiated by Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari, the Premier of Sarawak.

OSSM is an energy-efficient office building that will serve Shell Malaysia Upstream's operations, representing a significant milestone in innovation and growth for the region. EVP of Conventional Oil & Gas, Integrated Gas and Upstream, Shell plc, Peter Costello, was also present at the event.

The multi-tenanted building, owned and managed by Pantai Bayu Indah Sdn Bhd, features electric vehicle charging stations, 100 solar photovoltaic panels generating approximately 80,000 kWh of clean energy annually, and a rainwater harvesting system for garden irrigation. Notably, OSSM is home to Sarawak's first Shell Café, offering a range of food and beverages.

Siti Sulaiman, Country Chair of Shell Malaysia, stated, "Our state-of-the-art, sustainable building embodies our commitment to driving progress towards an energy-efficient future."

OSSM also boasts Low-Emissivity (Low-E) glass panels to optimise natural daylight and reduce heat. Additionally, it introduces an advanced floor destination elevator system to enhance efficiency.

The event was attended by senior Sarawak Government officials and delegates from Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM), PETRONAS, and Petros.
