首三季內地造船完工量按年增18.2% 新接訂單增51.9%

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced that in the first nine months of 2024, the mainland's ship completion volume was 36.34 million deadweight tons, an 18.2% year-on-year increase; new orders amounted to 87.11 million deadweight tons, a 51.9% year-on-year increase. As of the end of September, the order backlog reached 0.193 billion deadweight tons, representing a 44.3% year-on-year increase.

In the first nine months of 2024, China's three major shipbuilding indicators, measured by deadweight tons, accounted for 55.1%, 74.7%, and 61.4% of the global total, respectively.

In addition, China undertakes over 70% of global green ship orders, achieving full coverage of mainstream ship types. Green, high value-added, and exclusive technologies have become new highlights for China's shipbuilding industry in the first three quarters.
