According to the Smart Financial News App, Silk Rd Energy (08250) announced that on October 8, 2024, the company's indirectly wholly-owned subsidiary, Jiaheyuan Holdings Limited, intends to acquire the property from Yuhe Group Holdings Limited at a price of 8 million Hong Kong dollars.

It is reported that the property to be acquired is Unit C on the 2nd floor of Gala Commercial Building, 114-118 Lockhart Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong, with a total floor area of ​​approximately 1,250 square feet of vacant commercial office property.

The announcement stated that the group currently leases the property as its Hong Kong office. The directors plan to use the property as the group's main business office in Hong Kong, considering the rental cost of the existing leased property; as well as the dismantling, renovation, and time costs incurred after the relocation of the office following the end of the existing lease. The directors believe that acquiring the property as its own office property is in the long-term interest of the group. By establishing its own office property, in the long run, the group can further save office rental costs, administrative costs, and office relocation expenses. In addition, the property will strengthen the group's fixed asset base.
