The company launched this plan at the beginning of 2023 to address years of underperformance and connect with younger post-pandemic era consumers. The reform includes building new factories, expanding warehouses, and installing new production lines in existing facilities, with the entire project set to continue until 2026. This move follows Unilever's plan to cut one-third of its European office positions by the end of 2025, as part of CEO Hein Schumacher's stimulus growth strategy. Eduardo Campanella, head of Unilever's global home care business, revealed that the company will also increase promotion and research and development spending by 40%, but specific numbers were not disclosed.
