①CES officially announced that Huang Renxun will deliver a keynote speech on January 6, 2025; ② The market generally expects that Nvidia's Blackwell architecture desktop-level GPU will be launched in the coming months; ③ Super Micro Computer also disclosed positive shipment data of liquid cooling solutions on Monday.

On October 8th, Financial Links Society News (Editor Shi Zhengcheng) while global investors were eagerly anticipating how A-shares would perform on Tuesday, the technology world's schedule has quietly started preparing for 2025.

On Monday local time, CES (Consumer Electronics Show) officially announced that Nvidia founder and CEO Huang Renxun will deliver a keynote speech on January 6, three months later, the eve of the official opening of the Las Vegas extravaganza.

Is the Blackwell architecture desktop-level GPU coming?

At that time early next year, Huang Renxun is highly likely to release the RTX 50 series graphics card, namely adopting the Blackwell architecture of 5090.

According to previous leaks from insiders, the RTX 50 series was originally Nvidia's focus for the upcoming CES. There were also rumors that the RTX 5090 might debut alongside the RTX 5080. It is said that both graphics cards will be 'more power-hungry', with the 5090 with 21760 CUDA cores consuming 600 watts, 150 watts more than the 4090.

It is reported that both new cards will use GDDR7 memory, with the flagship graphics card's video memory reaching 32GB.

Looking at the update cycle of consumer electronics, NVIDIA first released the RTX 40 graphics cards two years ago - the company first announced the 4090 and 4080 in September 2022. At the CES exhibition earlier this year, the company also updated the 40 series with Super graphics cards, including the RTX 4070 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super, and RTX 4080 Super, all of which were launched earlier this year.

Undoubtedly, as the head of the $3 trillion "AI chip empire," Huang Renxun will definitely spend a lot of energy emphasizing the development of artificial intelligence hardware and software. But for investors, nothing can inspire more hope for the future than straightforward GPU shipment data.

Super micro computer disclosed positive shipment data.

As of the time of publication, Super microcomputer, the core company of the "NVIDIA circle of friends," rose more than 15% on Monday as a server manufacturer. On the news front, the company issued a statement emphasizing the positive shipment situation of liquid cooling solutions.

On Monday local time, the company issued an announcement titled "Super Micro Consolidates its Leadership Position in Full Rack-Scale Liquid Cooling Solutions - Current quarterly shipments exceed 0.1 million GPUs."

Super Micro Computer announced that the company is introducing a complete datacenter liquid cooling solution, including coolant distribution unit, cold plate, cooling tower, and end-to-end management software. With Super Micro's new technology application, the computing density of datacenters will be increased by 4 times, now each server rack can accommodate up to 96 Nvidia B200 GPUs.

The company summarized that this infrastructure innovation can save up to 40% of energy and 80% of space. This system supports hot water cooling up to 45 degrees Celsius and allows the heat generated by AI chips to be used for district heating, greenhouses, and other applications.

Super Micro Computer disclosed that recently deployed over 0.1 million liquid cooling solution GPUs for some large-scale AI factories and cloud computing service providers. To cope with the workloads of AI and high-performance computing, the power of each server needs to be close to 12kW, with a single AI rack generating over 100kW of heat, therefore, energy-saving and space-efficient liquid cooling systems are crucial for large cloud service providers.

Since August this year, Super Micro Computer has been constantly in the spotlight. After the Hindenburg Research issued a short report on the company's revenue recognition policy, the U.S. Department of Justice also joined the investigation. Super Micro Computer had reached a settlement with the U.S. SEC in 2020, paying a settlement amount of $17.5 million.

Asset management institution Needham analyst Quinn Bolton stated that as a pioneer in liquid cooling solutions, Super Micro Computer's liquid cooling technology is expected to help further expand its market share. Currently, the company's stock price already reflects most of the risks from the board of directors' review of internal controls.
