ST Engineering Wins 15-year MRO Contract With Akasa Air

ST Engineering will handle Akasa Air's LEAP-1B engines.

ST Engineering's Commercial Aerospace business has secured a 15-year exclusive maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) contract with Akasa Air.

Under the agreement, ST Engineering will provide Akasa Air with the first Performance Restoration Shop Visit (PRSV) service for the LEAP-1B engines at its aerospace facility in Singapore.

The partnership covers Akasa Air's fleet of 25 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and the 201 aircraft scheduled for delivery over the next eight years.

ST Engineering's Commercial Aerospace business recently achieved testing capabilities for LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines at its Singapore facility and is currently expanding its capabilities to include LEAP PRSV.
