On the news front, huize recently released the unaudited performance report for the second quarter of 2024. The data shows that in the first half of the year, huize's total platform facilitated premiums reached 3.05 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), with total revenue of 0.59 billion yuan. During Q2, the platform's cumulative insured users increased to 9.8 million, with 0.24 million new insured users for the quarter. Based on this, the total first-year premiums facilitated by the platform reached 0.65 billion yuan, with long-term insurance business premiums accounting for 91.3%, maintaining over 90% for nineteen consecutive quarters, and the proportion of repeat customers reaching 40.5%, up by 6.5 percentage points year-on-year. Calculated on first-year premiums, the average premium for savings insurance reached 0.078 million yuan, up by 22.7% year-on-year. As of the end of June, the annualized persistency rates for the long-term insurance at the 13th and 25th months remained above 95%. The proportion of new single premiums for tailored products increased by 16.9 percentage points year-on-year, reaching 41.2%.
