Chain fitness and beauty group "Comfort Castle" announced temporary closure last month, with its Wan Chai branch previously renamed to continue operating under the "Healthy" brand, but yesterday (3rd) it was reported that "Healthy" has once again been rebranded as "PERFIT".
It is circulating on social media that "PER FIT LIMITED" was established recently, with the directors of the company being Yip Chun Kwok and Fu Zhi Qing. Upon checking the information, the two are respectively the chairman and CEO of Fameglow Holdings (08603.HK), which owns the "perFACE" beauty brand. In addition, some "Comfort Castle" customers have mentioned receiving notifications indicating that "perFACE" is discussing reopening some of the branches with "Comfort Castle".
perFACE issued a press release confirming that the group and related parties of the company are interested in taking over some of the fitness and beauty slimming services of "Comfort Castle", continuing to provide services to customers who have purchased gym cards, private coaching classes, and beauty treatments. Additionally, the group plans to negotiate with other branch owners in hopes of continuing operations at the original locations with the owners' active cooperation, while also scouting for more suitable locations to open new stores.
perFACE is also arranging interviews for around 700 employees affected by the closure of "Comfort Castle", with approximately 200 former employees already rehired at this stage. The long-term plan is to gradually hire other "Comfort Castle" employees as the market conditions improve and based on the operational situation.
