On October 3, Tongchengtravel released the mid-term inventory data for the National Day holiday, showing that tourism in major popular tourist cities has been running at high levels in the first half of the holiday, and tourism in third-tier and below cities has rapidly increased.

Historical sites, natural scenery, and botanical gardens are popular among tourists in various regions, with rapid growth in bookings for exhibitions and exhibition halls, with booking popularity increasing by more than 100% year-on-year.

Regarding outbound travel, there is a strong demand for tourism in Hong Kong and Macao, with a 134% year-on-year increase in hotel bookings in Hong Kong.

Macao Tourism Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes stated in an interview with Macao media that as of the previous week before the National Day holiday, the overall hotel booking rate in Macao was about 70% for the holiday period. Among them, 5-star hotels are basically fully booked, while other star-rated hotels are expected to receive orders gradually this week.

Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes mentioned that the number of visitors to Macao exceeded the government's expectations in August this year, and is expected to be related to factors such as good weather. If the weather remains good, it is estimated that during the National Day Golden Week, the average daily number of visitors to Macau will exceed the previously forecasted 0.1 million person-times.

Citi cited one of the operators as saying that during the National Day Golden Week holiday, Macao's total gambling revenue is expected to be around 0.9 billion Macanese patacas per day, which will be similar to the performance during this year's Lunar New Year Golden Week and Labor Day holidays.
