Finance Link October 4th News (Edited by Zhao Hao) Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun recently stated that the demand for the company's next-generation ai chip, Blackwell, is "too insane".

On Wednesday local time (October 2), Huang Renxun said in a media interview, "Everyone wants to have the most products, everyone wants to be the first to receive them."

It is worth mentioning that Huang Renxun said similar words three weeks ago.

Impacted by this news, Nvidia's stock rose to $124.36 per share in early trading, up to 4.6%, and has since narrowed to around 3%, with the latest price at $122.37 per share.

According to Nvidia's official website, the Blackwell architecture GPU has 208 billion transistors, manufactured using a specially customized Taiwan Semiconductor 4NP process, with double lithography extreme dimensions bare die, connected into a unified GPU through 10TB/s chip-to-chip interconnect technology.

Back in March of this year, Huang Renxun mentioned that the price range for Blackwell is between $0.03 million and $0.04 million. However, Nvidia will not sell the GPU separately, but rather prefers to sell it as part of a package with networking equipment, software services, etc.

To power software products such as ChatGPT, Copilot, etc., technology companies like OpenAI, Microsoft, Meta, are building artificial intelligence (AI) datacenters, leading to high demand for Nvidia GPU products.

Huang Renxun said: "At such a rapidly developing moment in technology, this gives us the opportunity to double our efforts, truly driving the innovation cycle, thereby increasing capacity, output, reducing costs, and decreasing energy consumption."

"We are moving in that direction, and everything is progressing orderly," Huang Renxun said that Nvidia plans to update its AI platform every year to double or triple the performance.

As a major beneficiary of the AI boom, Nvidia's stock price has risen nearly 150% since the beginning of the year. The company achieved revenue of 30.04 billion USD in the second quarter, a 122% year-on-year increase, with a net income of 16.599 billion USD, a 168% year-on-year increase.

On the day of the performance report, Nvidia's CFO Colette Kress stated that the company expects Blackwell's revenue in the fourth quarter to reach billions of dollars.
