As of the deadline for submission, USA Energy (USEG.US) has risen by more than 7%, Houston American Energy (HUSA.US) has risen by more than 11%, Schlumberger (SLB.US) and Total (TTE.US) have risen by nearly 1%. On the news front, data shows that on September 26, after Hurricane Helene hit the Panhandle area of Florida, more than 1.1 million households and businesses in the southeastern and midwestern United States were still without power on Wednesday local time. As power companies continue to restore power, these power outages have decreased from 1.7 million on Tuesday. The storm caused approximately 5.5 million users to lose power, mainly concentrated in the southeastern region. According to PowerOutage.us data, the utility company with the most outages is US energy company Duke Energy (DUK.N). The company still has about 287,732 and 234,375 customers without power in South Carolina and North Carolina, respectively. Duke Energy stated on Tuesday that power had been restored to about 1.6 million users in the Carolinas and expects the majority of the remaining outages to be restored by late Friday.
