Israeli military claims Lebanon fired over 50 rockets into northern Israel.

The Nevatim Air Force Base is where Israel's most advanced aircraft are located, including the American-made F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter jets. This base was also previously damaged during the mid-April attack by Iran on Israel earlier this year.

Fu Cong stated that over the past two weeks, the situation in the Middle East, especially in Lebanon, has taken a sharp turn for the worse. China is deeply concerned and extremely worried about the current severe situation and the prospects for future developments. China calls for a genuine respect for the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of all countries, reaffirms its opposition to any act that violates the basic norms of international relations, and condemns all acts of violence against civilians. China agrees with the UN's position that any Israeli cross-border entry into Lebanon violates Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and contravenes the provisions of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

Fu Cong said that since last October, violent conflicts have been recurring in the Middle East region. Israel has ignored the international community's call for an immediate ceasefire, persisted in advancing military operations, leading to the delay and escalation of the conflict.
