At the same time, from the evening of October 2nd to the early hours of October 3rd local time, Israel launched about 15 fierce attacks on the southern outskirts of Beirut, Lebanon.
Additionally, on the evening of October 1st local time, Iran launched a large number of missile attacks against Israel. According to multiple Israeli media citing military sources, an Israeli air force base was hit during the attack. Satellite images taken on October 2nd show that the Nevatim Air Force Base in southern Israel was damaged. From the evening of October 2nd to the early hours of October 3rd, Israel launched about 15 fierce attacks on the southern outskirts of Beirut, Lebanon.
Furthermore, in the latest airstrikes, there were five attacks targeting the southern suburb of Chiyah in Beirut. The Israeli army had not issued evacuation notices for these areas before.
As of the local time on the morning of the 3rd, black smoke is still rising over the southern suburbs of Beirut.
In the early hours of the 3rd local time, Aviche Adlerai, the spokesperson of the Israeli Defense Forces, posted three times on his social media accounts within five minutes, demanding immediate evacuation of residents in designated areas of the southern suburbs of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. The statement said that the Israeli military would strike facilities of Hezbollah near these areas.
However, before Aviche Adlerai issued the evacuation order, the Israeli military had already launched airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut and the city center, causing casualties. In the downtown area of Beirut, the targeted building was in the Bashoura district. Currently, the airstrike has resulted in 7 deaths and several injuries.
The Israeli Defense Forces once again urge residents of various areas in southern Lebanon to evacuate immediately.
In the afternoon of October 3rd local time, Avichai Adlerai, the Arabic spokesperson of the Israeli Defense Forces, issued a statement calling for the immediate evacuation of residents from 25 areas in southern Lebanon and relocation to the north. The evacuation list includes Nabatieh, one of the largest cities in southern Lebanon.

The location where the IDF's F-35 fighter jets are housed was struck by Iranian missiles creating a large hole.

Satellite images taken on October 2nd local time show damage to the Nevatim Air Force Base in southern Israel.
From the images, it can be seen that a large hole was caused in the roof of a hangar near the main runway of the base, with large debris scattered around the building. The IDF has not yet commented on the cause of this damage. However, witnesses captured video of what appeared to be missiles hitting the Nevatim Air Force Base during the large-scale missile attack by Iran on October 1st.
The Nevatim Air Force Base is where Israel's most advanced aircraft are located, including the American-made F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter jets. This base was also previously damaged during the mid-April attack by Iran on Israel earlier this year.
From satellite images, it is still unclear whether there were planes inside the hangar when it was hit.
Israeli media reported on October 2 that according to military sources, an Israeli air force base was indeed hit by Iranian missiles, causing damage to maintenance hangars and other facilities, but 'Israeli military aircraft, infrastructure, etc. were not damaged'.

Pentagon spokesperson Laid said on October 1 that apart from two U.S. Navy destroyers, 'no other U.S. assets were used to shoot down the missiles launched from inside Iran,' and the United States fully supports Israel's right to self-defense after the 'significant' attack by Iran.
"An all-out war is about to break out!" China urgently speaks out.
On October 2 local time, China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Fu Cong, stated during the UN Security Council's emergency meeting on the situation in Lebanon and Israel that it is necessary for the UN Security Council to take urgent action, unite to make clear and unambiguous demands, achieve an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, cool down the situation in Lebanon and Israel immediately, stop the cycle of violence, make every effort to prevent the escalation of hostilities, and urge all parties concerned to return to the track of political and diplomatic solutions.
Fu Cong stated that over the past two weeks, the situation in the Middle East, especially in Lebanon, has taken a sharp turn for the worse. China is deeply concerned and extremely worried about the current severe situation and the prospects for future developments. China calls for a genuine respect for the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of all countries, reaffirms its opposition to any act that violates the basic norms of international relations, and condemns all acts of violence against civilians. China agrees with the UN's position that any Israeli cross-border entry into Lebanon violates Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and contravenes the provisions of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
Fu Cong said that since last October, violent conflicts have been recurring in the Middle East region. Israel has ignored the international community's call for an immediate ceasefire, persisted in advancing military operations, leading to the delay and escalation of the conflict. Currently, a full-scale war is about to break out. At this critical moment, any provocative remarks and provocative actions are extremely dangerous, likely to cause miscalculations, trigger chain reactions, escalate the situation in turn, or even spiral out of control. China urges all parties, especially Israel, to exercise restraint and avoid any actions that may further escalate the situation.
Fu Cong stated that the conflict has led to an unprecedented humanitarian disaster. China calls on all parties involved in the conflict to respect the red line of international humanitarian law and effectively protect the safety of civilians. China supports the United Nations humanitarian system in taking emergency actions to alleviate the humanitarian situation in Palestine and Lebanon. China reaffirms the importance of respecting the neutrality of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon and effectively ensuring the safety of UN peacekeeping personnel. UN assets and personnel should not be targets of armed attacks.
Fu Cong emphasized that the situation is extremely precarious, and any passive delay is irresponsible. Any rhetoric that indulges in greater military adventures will send out wrong signals and may have serious consequences. China hopes that influential major powers will demonstrate a sincere and responsible attitude, play a constructive role, and prevent further turmoil in the situation.
