Informed sources revealed that in recent months, several teams at Google have been making progress in artificial intelligence reasoning software. This type of software is better at solving multi-step problems in areas such as mathematics and computer programming.

AI researchers are studying reasoning models to seek the next major advancement in this technology. Informed sources revealed that like OpenAI, Google is also trying to use a technology called "chain-of-thought prompt" to simulate human reasoning. This technology, pioneered by Google, aims to significantly enhance the ability of large language models in complex reasoning tasks by generating a series of intermediate reasoning steps.

Google and OpenAI have been fiercely competing for dominance in the field of artificial intelligence, especially since the release of OpenAI's chatbot ChatGPT. Some investors are worried that this popular chatbot will eventually replace Google Search.

Google has taken various measures to regain its leading position, including merging its top research labs, establishing the Google DeepMind department, and strengthening the connection between researchers and product teams.
