Ctrip-S (09961.HK) (TCOM.US) announced last week that they signed a memorandum of understanding with the Azerbaijan Tourism Board and Azerbaijan Aviation to achieve strategic cooperation in promoting the local tourism industry. According to the agreement, Ctrip will establish the Azerbaijan flagship store on its platform, increase detailed introductions to Azerbaijan tourist destinations, develop more local special tourism products, and promote Azerbaijani tourism resources through social media influencers.

According to data from the Azerbaijan National Tourism Board, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Azerbaijan in the first eight months of this year saw a significant increase, reaching 26,866, far exceeding twice the amount compared to the same period last year. In the future, the Board will further enhance the "China Ready" program to meet the specific needs of Chinese tourists.
