SBS Holdings <2384> announced on the 1st that it has acquired 66.61% of the common stock of NSK Logistics, a logistics subsidiary of NSK <6471> in Japan. Following this, NSK Logistics will change its name to 'SBS NSK Logistics' as of the 1st.
NSK Logistics was established in August 1999 with 100% investment from NSK, focusing on domestic and international operations of the NSK Group. As a logistics function company, it has skills and know-how in transportation, storage, cargo handling, packaging, and subcontracting of import and export operations.
Furthermore, the SBS Group positions M&A as an important growth strategy to enhance its business scale, portfolio, and secure excellent talents as a means.
While NSK Logistics prioritizes maintaining good relationships with the NSK Group and its trading partners, it aims to establish a system to provide comprehensive logistics services with higher added value through sharing infrastructure and know-how of the SBS Group to achieve synergy effects.
