The oil & gas sector rose against the market, as of the time of publication, Houston American Energy (HUSA.US) rose by over 20%, Exxon Mobil (XOM.US), Occidental Petroleum (OXY.US) rose by over 2%, Schlumberger (SLB.US) rose by over 1.3%, Total (TTE.US), and Chevron (CVX.US) rose by over 1%. The price of WTI crude oil expanded, now up by over 3% at $70.27 per barrel; Brent crude oil rose nearly 3%, at $73.80 per barrel.
