Electric Energy Industrial (00006-HK) said that the Jinwan Power Plant, which holds 45% of the shares and is located in Zhuhai, completed the upgrade project last year. Each unit provides steam heat to 200 tons per hour, expanding the heat supply scale of the charging plant. Currently, the thermoelectric ratio has reached 21%.
The Jinwan Power Plant has so far invested about 720 million yuan in energy saving and emission reduction equipment. The Group anticipates that the steam heat provided within 5 years will increase to 280 tons per hour, which will help attract more manufacturers to settle in the Zhuhai Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The Group mentioned that the cogeneration model of the power plant concerned can greatly improve energy efficiency. In addition, the unit can reduce waste heat emitted to the ocean through the condenser. It is estimated that the annual raw coal consumption for power generation can be reduced by nearly 64,000 tons, saving fuel costs, and reducing carbon emissions by 107,000 tons.
Along with the two wind power projects, Electric Energy Industry currently has 3 power plants in the mainland, with a total installed capacity of 1,300 megawatts.
