関連情報Shimadzu Corporation acquired California X-ray Imaging Services, Inc. (CIS), its subsidiary under Shimadzu Precision Instruments, Inc. (SPI), a US subsidiary acquired on April 1 of this year, and designated it as the California branch of Shimadzu Medical Systems USA (SMS), SPI's medical equipment business company, effective October 1.
SMS conducts sales and services of our imaging diagnostic equipment to the United States, Canada, and Caribbean countries. The newly established California branch (located in Vacaville, California) will be responsible for overseeing northern California and Nevada, leveraging synergy with SMS Northwest branch, which oversees Washington state, to expand direct sales and services to medical institutions along the entire West Coast.
Shimadzu Corporation will strengthen its medical equipment business in North America through the integration of CIS into SMS, creating new products and services based on customer needs. Additionally, we will continue to expand direct sales and service regions to improve profitability and contribute to the development of Shimadzu's health care business.
