According to the financial news app, on Monday, aviation and cruise stocks declined. As of the time of publication, Southwest Airlines (LUV.US) fell by 0.15%, United Airlines (UAL.US) fell by 0.71%, Delta Air Lines (DAL.US) fell by over 1.4%, American Airlines (AAL.US) fell by 1.6%, Royal Caribbean (RCL.US) and Norwegian Cruise (NCLH.US) fell by over 2%, Boeing (BA.US) dropped more than 2.5%, and Carnival Cruise (CCL.US) fell by over 3%.
On the news front, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 751, representing about 0.033 million Boeing workers in Washington state, announced on September 27th local time that the union held mediation talks with Boeing on the pension issue, but no progress was made and negotiations ultimately broke down. The union stated that there are currently no further negotiation dates scheduled, and they are still willing to engage in direct or mediated negotiations with the company.
