TCS Group Holdings Berhad (TCS) today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, TCS Construction, has secured a RM116.58 million contract from a subsidiary of S P Setia Berhad (SP Setia), for the proposed construction of building and infrastructure works of 561 units of affordable housing.
The contract from I&P Kota Bayuemas features the 545-acre freehold mixed development, Setia Bayuemas, located in Klang, Selangor.
Managing Director of TCS, Dato' Ir Tee Chai Seng, said, "This is a testament to our proven track record along with our three key
emphases in delivering projects with good quality, completion on time and prioritizing health and safety at work. This contract win further boosts our order book and gives us clear earnings visibility. The overall outlook of the construction sector is currently more favourable as the raw material prices of goods have stabilised. In addition, the project rollout from the public and private sectors is increasing, which bodes
well for the construction industry, including TCS."
The duration of the contract is 28 months, commencing from October 2024 with expected completion by February 2027.
TCS provides construction services for buildings, infrastructure, civil and structural works in Malaysia.
Under building construction, the group has completed various types of residential buildings such as landed properties, high rise apartments and condominium, as well as commercial buildings such as office buildings, shopping complex and purpose-built buildings.
TCS is also involved in civil infrastructure works such as earthwork, roads and drainage work, highways and bridges, water supply and sewerage projects.
