On September 30th, Guolonghui reported that China Mobile (600941.SH) stated on the interactive platform that the integration of sky and earth communication is an important technical direction for 5G and 6G. The company has made certain progress in the research and development of technical standards and trial verification. In terms of technical standards, the company continues to focus on core technologies such as unified resource management between space and earth, and the distributed autonomous network architecture of sky and earth integration, actively participating in international and domestic standardization efforts. In 3GPP and ITU-led international and domestic standards including mobility management, session management, business continuity, etc., the company has independently proposed terminal seamless switching technology and incorporated it into standard protocols; continuously enhancing international standards R18/R19, promoting the establishment of CCSA domestic standards and reaching consensus. In terms of trial verification, in February 2024, two low-orbit test satellites carrying China Mobile's satellite-based base stations and core network equipment were successfully launched into orbit. The "China Mobile 01 Satellite" is the world's first satellite for testing sky and earth integration evolution technology; the "StarCore" verification satellite is the world's first 6G architecture validation satellite; and the world's first mobile phone direct high-orbit satellite NTN voice call experiment was realized in the laboratory.
