"Radio Macau" cited Leong Wai Man, Director of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macao, stating that during the National Day holiday, major areas of Macao will hold events to attract residents and tourists, including performances, markets, leisure dining, etc., with an expected 2 to 3 times increase in the flow of people in various areas, art museums, and the Macau Museum compared to regular days.
Leong Wai Man revealed that the Macao government is developing plans for outdoor performance venues, with the first performance event being planned to be launched by the end of this year or early next year.
The Macao government previously announced that in order to comply with Macao's strategy of moderately diversifying the economy under the "1+4" plan, it has selected a 0.094 million square meter piece of state-owned land in Cotai as a temporary outdoor performance area. (js/u)
