Added pole-mounted and placed specifications to the facade product 'Delivery box KN' which leads to reducing redelivery, and released it.
Can be installed in various residences with many variations
LIXIL Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as LIXIL) will add pole-attached and freestanding specifications to the facade product "Home Delivery Box KN" that contributes to reducing redeliveries, and will release it nationwide from October 1, 2024.
In recent years, due to the rapid expansion of e-commerce, the volume of home delivery packages in FY 2022 exceeded 5.88 million units*, surpassing 5.5 billion, and the redelivery rate in October 2022 was approximately 11.8%**, still remaining high. As it is referred to as the 'logistics problem of 2024,' reducing redeliveries is an urgent issue. Moreover, redeliveries of home delivery packages lead to an increase in CO2 emissions, becoming a significant societal issue.
LIXIL has added four types of products with home delivery boxes that contribute to reducing redeliveries to its lineup this spring. Furthermore, it will be releasing pole-attached and freestanding specifications for the 'Home Delivery Box KN' this time.
With pole-attached and freestanding specifications that are easy to install even during renovations, they can now be used in a wider variety of residences than ever before.
Moreover, the atmosphere of a roundtable discussion conducted with members of the 'Pleasant Living Study Group,' who regularly utilize home delivery boxes, while actually viewing LIXIL's home delivery box has also been made public.
LIXIL will continue to contribute to the realization of a rich and comfortable lifestyle through exterior products that help solve social issues.
