3. Sustainability Management

Regarding sustainability management, the company aims to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through the provision of product solutions that focus on 'connecting technologies,' and established a sustainability basic policy in 2022, set up a sustainability promotion committee, and identified sustainability key issues equivalent to materiality in 2023. The company believes that governance is the most important aspect in carrying out sustainability activities. Therefore, it prioritizes 'Goverance (G),' 'Environment (E),' and 'Social (S)' in the following order. For Governance (G), it focuses on protecting stakeholder interests; for Environment (E), it works on reducing CO2 emissions as part of its decarbonization efforts, environmentally friendly product manufacturing, and providing value to customers and well-being as challenges of the Society (S). In addition, as part of the main Key Performance Indicator (KPI) plan related to ESG, under Governance (G), it plans to complete the development of a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for emergencies by the fiscal year 2026. Under Environment (E), it aims to achieve a 42% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions (based on the fiscal year 2022 standard) by fiscal year 2030, with a 25% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 reduction rates, and an expansion in the use of environmentally friendly plastics (increasing the percentage of products with recyclable plastic materials) to over 80% by fiscal year 2030.
