An administrative kiosk terminal for local governments equipped with a cashless payment terminal
Administrative kiosk terminals developed by Sharp Marketing Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yao-shi, Osaka; President: Oyama Tadashi) to local governments will be newly compatible with cashless payments starting tomorrow 10/1.
An administrative kiosk terminal is a multi-function copier that allows applicants themselves to easily issue various certificates, such as a copy of a certificate of residence or a seal registration certificate, using an Individual Number Card. Since it was launched in 2021, it has been introduced to over 150 local governments*1 so far.
This time, a cashless payment terminal*2 was released as a new option. In addition to conventional cash payments, various cashless payments such as credit cards, electronic money, and code payments are now possible. It contributes to the smooth payment of users and the reduction of congestion at certificate issuing counters.
We will continue to contribute to improving the efficiency of counter operations and expanding services for residents by working to expand the functions and convenience of administrative kiosk terminals.
*1 As of 2024/9/30.
*2 Compatible with administrative kiosk terminals <MX-3631DS>. An agreement with Lumise Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Komoro-shi, Nagano-ken; President and CEO: Arimichi Sato), which is a cashless service provider, is required to introduce this terminal. Details of compatible payment services can be found on the company's website ( Please check).
