Improve quietness and provide a high-value customer experience with a hybrid electric propulsion ship
We signed a shipbuilding agreement with Maehata Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. on 2024/9/30 for a newly built restaurant ship (hereinafter “the ship”). This ship is scheduled to be completed in 2027, and our group company Cruise Club Tokyo Co., Ltd. plans to operate it as a successor to the restaurant ship “LADY CRYSTAL” (Lady Crystal) currently in operation.
This ship is equipped with batteries in addition to diesel engines used on general ships, and the use of hydrogen fuel is also being considered, aiming for net zero emissions as a hybrid electric propulsion ship. Furthermore, by suppressing vibrations, noise, and odors peculiar to fuel oil, we achieve even greater quietness and a comfortable space.
By using seasonal ingredients from Akita Prefecture and Hokkaido, where we have concluded comprehensive partnership agreements, we will allow our customers to enjoy the four seasons of Japan and contribute to regional revitalization in the dishes served.
Through these initiatives, we aim to be a ship that symbolizes our ESG management and allows customers to enjoy quality time.
Details will be posted on our website etc. from time to time in the future.
