JAL has expanded the in-flight Wi-Fi service that has been well received, starting from October 1, 2024 (Tuesday), enhancing the service on both domestic and international flights, allowing customers to enjoy a more fulfilling time on board.

【Domestic Flights】
The existing free Wi-Fi service has been expanded, allowing customers to use video streaming services for watching videos.
Targeted Aircraft: JAL, JTA operated flights, J-AIR Embraer 190 aircraft (E90) operated flights
Start Date: From October 1, 2024 (Tuesday) (from late December for JTA operated flights)
Range of use: In addition to using text communications such as browsing websites and emails, streaming delivery is available.
Video viewing service usage (*2).
Remarks: Audio and video calls are not available for use.
Collaborating with TBS · JNN NEWS DIG, the JNN 28 stations' news site "TBS NEWS DIG Powered by JNN" is scheduled to be available for viewing (scheduled for the second half of 2024).
(Note 1) A delivery method where content is played back instantly without downloading it to the device.
(Note 2) For services that require a viewing contract, please contract directly with us.
Limitations on sites that can be accessed due to system constraints for individual screen-equipped equipment (A350, 787-8) operated flights.
In addition to using text communications such as browsing websites and emails, streaming delivery is available.

[International Flights]
To ensure that many customers can use it, there is no time limit for first class and business class, while premium economy and economy class are free for up to 1 hour of use.
Target: All JAL international flights (excluding codeshare flights)
Start Date: From Tuesday, October 1, 2024, on flights departing from Japan
Free Usage Time: For first class and business class, no time limit (*3) Premium economy class, economy class: 1 hour (*4)
Remarks: In addition to video viewing services, audio and video calls are not available.
Note that video and voice calls are not available, alongside other services such as video viewing.
Instructions on how to use will be provided in the leaflet provided or distributed on board.
After the free usage time ends, you can continue to use it by purchasing a paid plan.

With the expansion of these services, you can easily use the in-flight Wi-Fi according to your preferences such as gathering information at your travel destination and communicating on social media, allowing you to enjoy a flying experience close to that on the ground.

【#ConnectJAL X (formerly Twitter) post campaign】
With the enhancement of this service, we will be running the "#ConnectJAL" X post campaign from October 1st to provide customers with a "connection" experience similar to that on the ground, which was not previously available in the air. During the campaign period, customers who apply on X will have a chance to win round-trip tickets for Haneda-London flights or domestic flights.

Implementation period:
- First Part: October 1, 2024 (Tuesday) to October 31, 2024 (Thursday) until 23:59 Japan time
