The assets of ETFs traded on US exchanges have reached 10 trillion US dollars for the first time.

Some analysts say that this is the latest evidence that such trading tools are beginning to change the investment landscape of Wall Street.

In addition, the number of new funds and the amount of inflows in the ETF market are expected to break records.

With investor-friendly products increasingly popular on Wall Street, the assets of ETFs traded on US exchanges have reached 10 trillion US dollars for the first time.

According to data compiled by the media, driven by inflows of funds and market gains, the total assets of US ETFs exceeded the $10 trillion milestone this week.

Moreover, as US stock indices repeatedly hit new highs, investors have poured $691 billion into ETF funds so far this year. This is the latest evidence that such trading tools are beginning to change the investment landscape of Wall Street.

As investors shift towards structures with stronger liquidity and more tax-friendly features, traditional mutual funds are starting to lose their appeal, with their assets constantly shrinking. At the same time, as low-cost products become increasingly popular, fund management companies see a significant drop in fee income, with ETF issuers competing to offer more complex strategies in their product packaging.

Amrita Nandakumar, President of Vident Asset Management, stated that the growth of ETFs is 'incredible', especially considering that just 14 years ago, the ETF ecosystem had only reached the milestone of 1 trillion dollars.

Nandakumar also added, 'ETFs now provide channels for almost all investors to access investment asset classes and strategies, something that previously only the most sophisticated institutional investors globally could obtain. This proves the level of democratization of investment facilitated by ETFs.'

Data also shows that there are currently nearly 3800 ETF funds in the market, with expectations for record-breaking numbers of new ETFs and inflows. Vanguard Group Inc. has attracted 32% of the inflows, marking the company's third best year in performance.

Regarding newly listed products, 80% are actively managed and utilize derivatives or leverage, as issuers seek innovation to gain market share.

Jillian DelSignore, Global Head of Investor Distribution Strategy at Nasdaq Global Index Group, stated, 'ETFs are proving to be investors' preferred investment tool. With the evolution towards private markets and the continued development of outcome-oriented strategies, we will continue to see new investment opportunities.'
