Hitachi Ltd Sponsored ADR (hereinafter Hitachi) received the "2024 Oracle Partner Awards" organized by Oracle Corporation (hereinafter Oracle), which honors partners who have achieved high customer satisfaction in the introduction of cloud technology platforms at the "2024 Oracle Partner Awards - Japan Customer Success" and, for the first time as a partner company in Japan, received the "Regional Best in Class Awards in Customer Success" category. This award is given to the most outstanding partner companies in Oracle's global partner ecosystem who have achieved high customer satisfaction in the introduction of cloud technology platforms, recognizing Hitachi's achievements.

The recipient of this award is a case where Hitachi built the data utilization foundation for the entire Mizuho Leasing Co., Ltd. using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). In addition to actively utilizing cloud services, Mizuho Leasing planned to build a data utilization foundation that could aggregate large amounts of data from core systems such as leasing contracts, property management, accounting, and analyze them quickly to accelerate new business development as a comprehensive financial services group for corporations. Hitachi was the only vendor that met the condition of not affecting the performance of the existing core systems and could be built in 3 months. High satisfaction from customers was achieved both in expanding business and ensuring IT service stability, acknowledging Hitachi's engineering capabilities.

Hitachi has been handling Oracle products for over 30 years and has been advancing collaboration for many years. Building on the abundant experience and technology cultivated in supporting social infrastructure mission-critical systems and cloud environments, in line with the deployment from the 2019 OCI Tokyo Region, Hitachi promptly started providing technical services domestically, supporting migrations of on-premises Oracle Database to Exadata on OCI. In the case of this award, by deploying platform engineers with expertise in databases and cloud gained through joint verification projects in OCI and Microsoft Azure environments, Hitachi was able to realize the construction of a challenging data utilization foundation in a short period of 3 months.

In the future, Hitachi will continue to expand solutions with Oracle through the utilization of cutting-edge technologies such as AI generation to collectively solve customer and societal issues, contributing to the realization of customer success.
