NetApp has launched its latest all-flash ASA A-Series storage systems, designed to optimise block storage workloads and drive storage modernisation for organisations of all sizes.
The new systems offer three key benefits: simplicity, power, and affordability. With fast deployment, enhanced performance, and advanced data management, the ASA A-Series aims to simplify IT operations. The systems can be deployed in minutes and provisioned in seconds, making it accessible even for non-technical users. They offer market-leading performance with millions of IOPS and sub-millisecond latency, while also featuring advanced capabilities like scale-out clustering and NetApp's Ransomware Recovery Guarantee.
Affordability is a standout feature, with NetApp claiming a 25-50% lower upfront cost, improved return on investment, and lower total cost of ownership (TCO) due to reduced power consumption and operational overheads.
Sandeep Singh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Enterprise Storage at NetApp, emphasised the importance of delivering real value for customers. "Our customers tell us that the demands on their infrastructure keep intensifying, so they need storage systems that deliver real value through power, affordability, and simplicity. With the new NetApp ASA A-Series systems, our customers can modernise their operations to meet the demands of more powerful workloads on block storage without having to choose between operational simplicity and high-end capabilities."
Alwyn David, Country Manager for Malaysia, said: "Malaysia's IT leaders are focused on building resilient and scalable IT infrastructures that can support the country's economic growth. The newly introduced NetApp ASA A-Series systems are designed to assist our customers in this endeavour. By injecting intelligence into their data management practices, organisations can drive business outcomes and foster resilience for sustained growth in a cost-efficient way."
To complement the new ASA A-Series, NetApp has enhanced its Data Infrastructure Insights service, allowing customers to better monitor and optimise their infrastructure.
In addition to the ASA A-Series, NetApp also announced updates to its portfolio, including new FAS systems, enhancements to Cloud Volumes ONTAP, and improvements to its BlueXP platform, ensuring a comprehensive storage solution for on-premises and cloud operations.
NetApp is now accepting orders for the ASA A-Series, with shipping expected to begin in October 2024.
