China Risun GP (01907.HK) announced on September 25th that its subsidiary Hebei Xuyang Energy Co., Ltd. ("Hebei Xuyang Energy"), signed a tripartite strategic cooperation framework agreement with Beijing Aerospace Experimental Technology Research Institute ("Aerospace 101") and Dingzhou People's Government. The agreement aims to focus on the jing-jin-ji region of China and expand nationwide in the liquid hydrogen industry chain, including production, storage, transportation, refueling, utilization, and research, as well as high-end hydrogen technology and advanced equipment applications, and high-end chemical products. Since 2020, the group has actively participated in hydrogen industrialization plans in different cities in China, as well as invested in new hydrogen product projects. In addition to being the world's largest independent coke producer and supplier, one of the group's strategic plans is to focus on the rapid development of the hydrogen energy industry in the jing-jin-ji region of China and become a leading supplier of clean and low-carbon hydrogen energy.

The comprehensive cooperation this time mainly includes (1) liquid/gas business cooperation, where Hebei Xuyang Energy provides medium supply for Aerospace 101, (2) joint construction of a liquid hydrogen plant to create a 5-ton per day liquid hydrogen demonstration project, (3) development of a liquid hydrogen transportation network to gradually establish a nationwide liquid hydrogen supply network, (4) cooperation in hydrogen energy R&D technology, (5) development of liquid hydrogen application scenarios and refueling station cooperation, (6) chemical product technology cooperation, (7) Aerospace launch site liquid hydrogen supply cooperation, and (8) hydrogen energy investment and financing, among other collaborations. This comprehensive cooperation on liquid hydrogen will benefit the group in advancing its advanced technologies, allowing the supply of hydrogen products in liquid form over longer transport distances throughout China.
