Rakuten Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'Rakuten') has started full-scale provision (Note 1) of the analysis platform 'Rakuten Analytics' for corporations, which supports in-depth customer understanding and data-based decision-making with abundant statistical data of the 'Rakuten ecosystem' from today.
'Rakuten Analytics' Introduction Video:
This platform is a tool that enables customer analysis by linking corporate data and statistical data assets held by Rakuten, under the protection of personal information measures. It features an intuitive and easy-to-use simple user interface (UI) for easily understanding analysis results. Additionally, the analysis results obtained from this platform can be utilized for advertising delivery, marketing initiatives to in-house customers, product planning, and more.
The foundation of this platform, Rakuten's statistical data assets, utilizes the database 'CustomerDNA' (hereinafter referred to as 'this database'), which classified more than 4,000 (Note 2) attributes of Rakuten users, including demographic data (such as age and gender), life stage, lifestyle, into the 'Rakuten ecosystem' based on AI. This database categorizes attribute information into factual information based on actual registration information, purchasing behavior, etc., and estimated information based on user behavior, enabling the provision of multi-faceted persona information based on that attribute information.
At Rakuten, we have been focusing on big data analysis such as user behavior analysis data in our own services, and have been achieving the optimal personalization for each individual user. By leveraging a rich statistics data asset with over 0.1 billion Rakuten IDs through this platform, we can visualize the online and offline behaviors and personas of each company's customers that were previously unattainable, and support data-driven corporate decision-making.
In the future, we plan to provide an AI assistant function to support the analysis of analysis results in collaboration with Rakuten AI, and implement API linkage functions with marketing tools inside and outside Rakuten to support marketing strategy execution. These functions will enable support for advertising delivery for customer acquisition, customer relationship management (CRM) strategies for improving customer lifetime value (LTV), additional research for product development, and more.
