Yamaha Motor Sales Co., Ltd. will release the road race competition and circuit running exclusive model "YZF-R6 Race Base Car (2025 model)" through limited-time reservation production on February 28, 2025.
This "YZF-R6 Race Base Car" is based on the 2020 model super sports "YZF-R6" (European spec), and is a model designed for races and circuit applications. In addition to electronic devices such as the traction control system and quick shifter, it continues to adopt the same type of front suspension and front brake as the higher model "YZF-R1 Race Base Car (2024 model)". There are no changes from the previous model.
The first phase will be from September 25, 2024 (Wednesday) to October 9, 2024 (Wednesday), and the second phase will be from October 10, 2024 (Thursday) to November 29, 2024 (Friday). Orders will be accepted through limited-time reservations, and the reservation locations will be Yamaha On-Road Competition Model Authorized Dealers nationwide.

The second reservation acceptance period: October 10, 2024 - November 29, 2024 Vehicle and kit parts delivery period: From late April 2025 onwards.
* Depending on the reservation acceptance period, the delivery date may vary. Also, the above delivery date is an estimate.
* The headlamp, position lamp, mirror, horn, onboard tools, tandem seat, tandem step, rear fender, graphic labels will be shipped after removal.
* Purchase privilege: Circuit-specific parts "Wire Harness Set" and "ECU" (including F.I. Matching Software) will be sent separately from the main vehicle.
* The "YZF-R6 Race Base Model" is not certified by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, therefore it cannot obtain a license plate. It is also not allowed for road use. Driving on the road would violate the Road Traffic Act and Road Transport Vehicle Act. Even areas not clearly defined as roads, such as private roads, temple and shrine precincts, beaches, embankments, farm roads, forest roads, where people and vehicles can freely enter and exit, are considered roads.
