China's central bank introduced monetary stimulus measures, European stock markets rose on Tuesday, with the pan-European Stoxx 600 Index up 0.6% at the close.

Chinese market-related stocks performed well, with mining company Antofagasta's stock price rising more than 6%, while Glencore and Rio Tinto also rose 3% to 4%. Automobile stocks also saw significant gains, with BMW up more than 3%.

The UK FTSE100 Index closed up 23 points or 0.3% at 8,282 points.

The German DAX Index rose 149 points or 0.8% to 18,996.

The French CAC 40 Index rose 95 points or 1.3% to 7,604 points.
