Rich, dramatic hue inspired by the sky above

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PPG (NYSE:PPG) today announced the SICO paint by PPG 2025 Colour of the Year: Starry Night (6044-83), a deep purple hue that demonstrates the transformative power of colour found in nature. The selection balances warmth and energy to create dynamic yet inviting spaces.

Sico colour experts suggest Starry Night for use in almost any space looking for high-impact energy, but they particularly recommend:

• Interior walls and trim – Starry Night can complement current maximalist design trends, including "colour drenching" a room from top to bottom in purple, pairing the rich hue with a bold wallpaper or tile pattern – or even using it on ceilings to emulate the night sky.
• Interior cabinetry – This hue can be used on kitchen or bath cabinets, pairing it with stainless countertops for a modern style, or using it as a backdrop for natural stone materials for a more organic aesthetic.
• Exterior doors – Starry Night invites guests to a welcoming home when used on a front door. The colour's impact can be doubled by using a high-gloss sheen.

As the headline colour for the Sico brand's 2025 palette, Starry Night pairs well with multiple hues from the lineup, including an earthy blush, Pink Adobe (6073-31); an organic gold, Soft Shell Clam (6193-53) and a warm gray with green undertones, Gray Area (6240-52).
