$Snap Inc (SNAP.US)$ Expanding strategic partnership with Google Cloud to power the artificial intelligence chatbot for its social media platform Snapchat.

Snapchat's My AI chatbot will leverage Google's Gemini technology on Vertex AI, especially its understanding and processing capabilities of different types of information such as text, audio, images, videos, and code.

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian stated: "Snap is an early leader in helping people communicate in the digital world, and now it is at the forefront of using generative artificial intelligence to build agents and create new value for its community." The Gemini model on Vertex AI now supports millions of multimodal interactions in the Snapchat app every day, enabling Snapchatters to better interact with My AI and has built-in accuracy and security.

Last year, Snapchat introduced My AI, using OpenAI's artificial intelligence model. Earlier this year, it started utilizing Gemini's multimodal generative artificial intelligence capabilities. Snap stated that this shift has increased user engagement with My AI in the USA by more than 2.5 times.
